About The Event
The Center for Sports Communication & Media is proud to present the 2026 Dan Jenkins Medal for Excellence in Sportswriting. This year's awards dinner will be held at the Headliner's Club in Austin on Thursday, September 17.
The event will celebrate the winners of the Jenkins Medal's four categories: Best Sportswriting; Best Student Sportswriting; Best Sports Book; Lifetime Achievement. All-American quarterback at Ole Miss and New Orleans Saints legend Archie Manning will receive the 2026 Jenkins Medal Sports Legend award on behalf of the "First Family of Football". All winners will be announced in August.
Admission items include:
- Quarterback Sponsor - $10,000
- End Zone VIP Table - $5,000
- Sideline Table - $3,500
- Extra Point Individual Seat - $375
All tables seat eight people and include access to a general reception. The event sponsorship and VIP Tables include acknowledgement in all materials, including but not limited to website, signage, event program, individual slides, social media. Tables and associated benefits are limited and will be honored to the extent available based on the date of commitment.
